Frequenly Asked Questions (FAQs)
In the past, our
customers have raised excellent questions about labor law posters
and other poster products. We hope that this list may address your
concerns, and help you make informed decisions. |
|
Q:"I know each state needs to
post a federal labor law poster (5-in-One), but can you tell
me which states require their own individual posters in addition
to the federal."
A: According to the latest state legislations, all
states, except South Dakota, require state labor law posting
at workplaces. Although not required, we recommend the following
posting for South Dakota office location: Workers' Compensation
Law (strongly recommended), and Employee Rights are Protected.
Both are included in our Total Labor Law Poster for South
Dakota.
|
Q:
"I am only interested in labor law posters. I do not
need any kits, just state and federal 5-in-One's."
A: Our
Total Labor Law posters combine required Federal labor law
posting with each state's required posting. Therefore, for
each state, you only need to get ONE poster for each office
location.
|
Q:
"Do you carry any Safety posters, Sexual Harrasment or
that kind of posters?"
A: Yes
we do. Please check out our Total
Safety Posters.
|
Q:
"I'm ready to order but with one question: are your posters
laminated?"
A: Yes
our posters are all laminated for better protection and longer
duration.
|
Q:
"What are the sizes of your labor law posters?"
A: Our
Total Labor Law Poster (inlcuding state, Federal, and OSHA)
is 27"x29", stand-alont Federal & OSHA poster
and state posters are 19"x27".
|
Q:
"Do your posters contain the latest EEOC change (vets
and discrimination laws)?"
A: We have
received the latest EEOC change under the section of Federal
Equal Opportunity is the Law. The text change becomes effective
in May-03. Our posters have all been updated with the latest
EEOC changes.
|
Q:
"I was considering ordering my labor law posters through
you but just have one question. Under state posting I am required
to have "Equal Oppurtunity is the Law" and under
Federal I am to have "Equal Employment Oppurtunity".
Is this the same poster or different and are they both included?"
A: We cannot
tell which state you are referring to in your email. However,
we believe that you are referring to two seperate posters,
one for the State, one for the Federal requirements. For example,
in Kansas, there is the "Equal Opportunity in Employment"
under the State requirement, and "Equal Employment Oppurtunity"
under the Federal requirement. We do have both included in
our posters.

Q:
"I have a question reguarding state postings. Our company
has a very small office in Sacramento,CA would they still
need to post state labor posters? It is my understanding that
a company needs to only post state required posters if they
have 50 or more employee's working in the facility. Please
let me know if this is correct.?"
A: Family
and Medical Leave Act, under the Federal Labor Law, is required
for employers with 50 or more employees. To the best of our
knowlege, that is the only poster with such a condition. The
rest of labor law posters under Federal, OSHA and state (CA)
are required for all workplaces.

Q:
"I'm hoping you can help me with some questions I have
regarding labor law posters that are needed for my Companies
15 locations...Thanks in advance for your help!!!
1) Can you please provide me with a list of specific posters
that are required, and if they have been recently updated,
when that took place?
2) What are the consequences, for each poster, if it is not
updated?
3) How do the updated posters differ from what we may already
have?
4) How and when did the Federal posters change?
5) Which posters do we really need? ?"
A: Please
review the spreadsheet as attached, which should have addressed
your questions 1 & 4.
For question 2: Whenever there is a Major update, you should
update posters by its effective date or as soon as the updated
version becomes available, whichever comes first. For Minor
update or Format changes, you may continue to use your unchanged
posters, however, you are expected to update your posters
in a reasonable amount of time, which is open for interpretation.
For question 3: Since we don't have visibility to your existing
posters, we cannot really answer this question. However, we
have provided the incremental changes in details in the spreadsheet
to help you draw your own conclusion.
For question 5: It looks like that at least you need to update
all your posters, except for Arizona and Texas. Nevertheless,
we cannot be sure of the exclusion because we don't have visibility
to what you have right now for AZ and TX.
|
Q:
"I need to know if you offer an automatic renewal service
that includes shipping out updated posters, etc., to the locations?"
A: Yes
we do. Please contact us for details.
|

timing of your question! Illinois has just been released
and we will start shipping tomorrow for the orders that are
in the queue. For California we will start shipping next Monday
to include all 3 of the new law changes: California Whistleblower
