Hi folks!

You may have heard recently about the new update to the federal Family and Medical Leave Act posting which affects employers in all 50 states. Read on for more information about the new FMLA posting, as well as for info on a variety of recent, required, state-level labor law posting updates.

New federal Family and Medical Leave Act Posting

The federal government has released a new version of the Family and Medical Leave Act posting which goes into effect on March 8. This is an updated federal posting, so it affects employers in all 50 states. However, the new posting is only required for employers with 50 or more employees, public sector agencies, and elementary and secondary schools.

We now have updated combo posters with the new FMLA posting available for all 50 states. If you need to update, just click through to our website at PosterSolution.com, and then click on your state abbreviation in the yellow grid on the right-hand side of the page.

Recent State Changes

A number of individual states have also issued required state-level posting updates in the first months of 2013:

CALIFORNIA -- California has updated its Discrimination and Harassment in Employment posting, as well as the Department of Fair Employment and Housing’s Notices A and B. (available Jan 2013) To order the updated CA combo poster, click here.

COLORADO -- The minimum wage has increased to $7.78 per hour as of January 1, 2013. (available Jan 2013) To order the updated CO combo poster, click here.

KENTUCKY -- The state has updated its Unemployment Posting. (available January 2013) To order the updated KY combo poster, click here.

LOUISIANA -- The Earned Income Credit posting has been updated, effective January 2013. (available February 2013) Louisiana also has a new Independent Contractor or Employer posting as of August 2012. To order the updated LA combo poster, click here.

MISSOURI -- The minimum wage has increased to $7.35 per hour as of January 1, 2013. (available January 2013) To order the updated MO combo poster, click here.

OREGON -- The minimum wage in Oregon has increased to $8.95 per hour as of January 1, 2013. (available January 2013) To order the updated OR combo poster, click here.

RHODE ISLAND -- The minimum wage in Rhode Island has increased to $7.75 per hour as of January 1, 2013. (available January 2013) To order the updated RI combo poster, click here.

VERMONT -- The state has increased the minimum wage to $8.60 per hour as of January 1, 2013. (available January 2013) To order the updated VT combo poster, click here.

WASHINGTON -- Washington state’s minimum wage has increased to $9.19 per hour as of Jan. 1, 2013. The state has also updated its Job Safety and Health, Workers Compensation, and Workers Rights postings. (available January 2013) To order the updated WA combo poster, click here.

OKLAHOMA -- The state has updated its Discrimination in Employment poster. (available February 2013) To order the updated OK combo poster, click here.
